On a day-to-day basis, your days will look like :

– Performing tig-mig welds
– Assembling steel, stainless steel and aluminum products for our various customers
– Reading blueprints

– Carrying out mechanical assembly of steel, stainless-steel and aluminum enclosures for our various customers, according to assembly drawings
– Assemble doors and locking systems
– Install portholes
– Insulate enclosures
– Bleaching and passivation of stainless-steel enclosures

Job description

The incumbent of this position is responsible for producing various plans in compliance with current standards and policies, while respecting the customer’s needs.

Tasks include:

– Analyze and understand customer needs and requirements
– Design assembly drawings for projects of various sizes
– Produce approval drawings
– Design component drawings for production and validate feasibility in collaboration with plant personnel.
– Prepare the list of materials required for manufacturing and make purchase requisitions.
– Maximize design to reduce manufacturing costs, in collaboration with the design manager, purchasing and sales, when required.
– Make technical communications with the customer
– Analyze cost impact of changes
– Use of ERP software
– Maintain a positive work attitude
– Assist the Design Manager in the performance of his duties, when required
– Reflect the organization’s values in its attitudes and behaviors
– Perform any other tasks as requested by the immediate superior

Skills:

– DEP in industrial drafting AEC in computer-aided design, DEC in mechanical engineering or appropriate field
– Knowledge of MS Office software, Autodesk Inventor software an asset
– Knowledge of sheet metal is an asset
– Ability to collaborate with the entire team
